Director  : Pete Ayre PhD BE 
r Pete Ayre is a  biomedical scientist and engineer with 30 years commercial engineering experience, 25 years in the medical device industry with companies such as Cochlear Ltd, Ventracor Ltd. Peter headed research at Ventracor Ltd  bringing a CLASS III left ventricular assist device to CE marking and IDE status with 450 patients implanted world wide. Peter has a PhD in biomedical engineering and BE in electrical engineering. He has multiple publications and patents and filings in both the Cardiovascular and neuro-modulation space.  

Pete has been heavily involved in developing products and interfacing with clinical staff and  surgeons in the design of medical products, comfortable in the OR and working closely with medical staff to forge new designs. Pete successfully ran a $6M grant funded program to develop animal implant ready TET technology for LVADs.

Currently developing medical technology for the 3rd world and Europe, 
Specifically  advanced control systems for heart  assist technology
